LBH012 Learning Zones, Charleville Mall Public Library, 2007
New developments in information technology are changing the internal design of public libraries. 'Learning Zones' were introduced to Charleville Mall and other public libraries throughout the city in 2007. These zones provide precious study space for children supported by specially chosen reading and reference materials, together with access to educational websites and other computer software.
This photo is from the Dublin City Council Photographic Collection. This unique collection is an educational resource and provides a basis for original research on the history of Dublin in the second half of the twentieth century.
