LBH010 Charleville Mall Public Library, 1987
The library was damaged by fire in 1987 and was completely refurbished and restocked in 1990. The library’s new internal layout featured integrated adult and children’s areas. Accommodation for community activity was improved with the provision for displays, meetings, seminars, and workshops.
This photo is from the Dublin City Council Photographic Collection. This unique collection is an educational resource and provides a basis for original research on the history of Dublin in the second half of the twentieth century.
