035 Swift's Alley
This photograph is one of those taken by W.J. Joyce in 1913 to illustrate the dreadful living conditions in Dublin. Despite its location in the Liberties area of the city, the house here looks more like a dilapidated farmhouse than a city dwelling and gives a strong sense of the neglected nature of this part of the city in 1913.
